The production of a Dacia car would cost by 2,000 euro more in France than Romania
The salary costs, seven times lower in Romania than France, and the fact that a big part of supplies are located in Romania are factors that cause lower production costs in Romania and other emerging countries, Dacia official Gerard Detourbet, quoted by La Tribune. He said that Dacia is produced cheaper because, when a new project is started, a certain price range is fixed before production is started.
The main advantage is the price. We use many pieces that are used in other models, which drops the prices. Last year, 535,000 cars were sold, of which 200,000 cars in Western Europe.
