Social Democrats and Conservatives form alliance for nearing elections, anti-betrayal clause included
The main Opposition party, Social Democrats (PSD), and the Conservative Party (former PSD ally, former part of the current Government as well) decided on Wednesday to make their alliance official, issuing a political collaboration protocol. The parties intend to form a common Parliamentarian group, a common secretary general and a common delegation after the parliamentarian elections.
After the Conservatives betrayed PSD after the last elections, supporting president Basescu and his government, thus changing the majority in Parliament by a thread, the protocol signed today includes anti-scheme articles, saying that the two parties can form the government only together.
